Japan is arguably the investment world’s most overlooked developed market. It is the third-largest economy in the world, and Japanese equities make up 8.6% of the MSCI World Index (as at 30 June 2018); yet investors often ignore the investment potential of this market, citing past weak performance and pessimistic economic views.
